After five years of running
her own women’s wear Merino fashion
label our designer decided it was time to
let the kids enjoy the luxury fibre. “My
9 year old daughter was always pulling samples
off the rack and modifying them with hair
ties to fit her! It was time to do something
specially for them.” Added to that
the limited Merino choice when getting ski
gear organised and Wolf In Sheep’s
Clothing was born. “Using the same
high quality New Zealand Merino in the children's
range as we’ve been using in our women’s
wear range, gives us the confidence of experience
in the comfort and performance of the garments.”
What’s
in a name… our philosophy:
While our little wolves aren’t
nearly as sneaky and devious as the
one in Aesop’s fable, we do
love the idea that when our children
are indoors they may be guitar playing,
Lego building, book reading, crayon
drawing quiet sheep, but let them
outside and they reveal their tree
climbing, skiing, trampolining, biking,
creek jumping wolf like inner selves
! All we have to do is make it easy
and comfortable for them to get out
there. Thanks to the mighty Merino
sheep’s clothing, we can keep
the pack warm all year round !
About
Merino
Our
New Zealand Merino wool is
a natural renewable fibre
that is warm, odor resistant,
lightweight, has excellent
crease recovery, resists soiling,
and breathes which helps manage
body temperature.
This
seasons garments are all 180gsm,
20.5 micron. Micron is the
thickness of the wool fibre,
the average human hair is
60 micron, it's the fineness
of the wool fibre that helps
make it so soft.
